• Community Development organizations offer a wide variety of services that assist different populations in reaching social and economic parity.  The variety here is a very broad so take the time to look at them all!
  • Environment – the need to protect Israel’s environmental resources is an ongoing issue.  The organizations you will read about in this section are not only taking an active role in protecting our resources, but also in training leadership at all levels to support their goals.
  • Health – although Israel offers sophisticated health care services and a nationalized health care system, there are still service areas that fall between the cracks and do not receive sufficent government funding to make them viable.
  • Immigrant Absorption organizations are making a real difference in the lives of new immigrants of all ages.  Read more about there truly inspiring work.
  • Jewish – Arab Coexistence organizations offer a variety of programs aimed at bringing together Jews and Arabs from different backgrounds and working towards a common goal whether it be social environmental, or getting to know the other.
  • Jewish Pluralism in Israel is a hot topic no matter who you talk to.  Find out more about the exciting programs being offered.
  • Special Needs non-profit organizations have a long tradition of assisting Israelis coping with a variety needs.  Although they may receive some government funding, they are very dependent on outside funds and much of their work is essential.
